This Spring, we revolutionized our manufacturing process and introduced Water<Less™ jeans. This allows us to use an average of 28% less and as much as 96% less water for some products in the line. And we did it while maintaining the same stylish look and feel that you love from the Levi's® brand. We're not gloating, we're proud. It feels good to do the right thing.

Water<Less™ jeans have allowed us to cut 16 million liters of water out of our finishing process this Spring alone. That water excess is enough to fill 67,636,117 glasses of water. But we need to get that excess water to the people who need it most. There are 1 billion people who don't have access to clean drinking water. That's 1 out of every 8 people on earth. Now, we're doing something about it.

As proud as we are of our progress, we know it's only one small step in the global water crisis - and we know that even more water is used once our jeans leave the stores and are in your hands. What the Levi's® brand can do alone is nothing compared to what we can all do together. So we're asking you to join us in using water wisely and changing how you care for your jeans: wash in cold water and only when necessary. If we all washed our Water<Less™ jeans once a week instead of twice a week, together we could save 858,400,000 liters of water.

We've partnered with Water.org, a pioneer in delivering sustainable water and sanitation solutions around the globe. They do it all-engage local communities to own their future, provide health and hygiene education, and develop high- impact solutions like Microcredit. Water.org understands that digging a well is the easy part, providing on-going water solutions over the long haul is what's really important.
